"Poisonous" does not mean deadly. Some manifestations of toxicity are subtle. The dose, as always, determines if a plant is safe source of nutrients or a toxic hazard.

BRIEF: How does a person reverse the damage done by Vitamin A toxicity?

QUESTION:
How does a person reverse the damage done by Vitamin A toxicity?

ANSWER:

The first step would be to get a good dietitican and physician involved to do a little detective work and find out for sure if this guy really has suffered from vitamin A toxicity. Then follow their advice. It is possible that this fellow has taken a lot of beta carotene without exceeding vitamin A limits. It is also perfectly possible that he has indeed taken too much A. One would need to know the form and amount of vitamin A in all the odd stuff he has been eating, then determine how much of each source he has been taking in and for how long.
