"Poisonous" does not mean deadly. Some manifestations of toxicity are subtle. The dose, as always, determines if a plant is safe source of nutrients or a toxic hazard.

BRIEF: How does one kill the poison oak plant?

QUESTION:
How does one kill the poison oak plant?

ANSWER:

Really large bushes can be cut down and the resprouts killed with Roundup for the next few years until it stops coming up. Younger growth may be supressed in a year or two. Alternatively, goats do a good job of suppressing it, too.
